yesterday was the first day of school here in GA and for most of you august 9 is really early to start school. i completely agree w/ all of you. but if you know juliette she was ready to start preK the day after she finished up preschool back in may. she has been looking forward to starting preK all summer about as much as i was dreading it. i spent a better part of last week crying about 3 or 4 times per day; it was pathetic i have to say. james would respond to my tears by asking me "what are you going to do next year when she goes to kindergarten?" my reply would be "well, i'll just be crying about the bus!" b/c let's face it, a day of preK is only about 45 min. shorter than a regular full day at an elementary school, and both are 5 days a week.
our schedule looks a little like this: juliette is up at 6:15 am and we're out of the house to take our friend, kailyn, to the bus stop by 7:20am and then we're on our way to juliette's school to drop her off btwn. 7:45-7:55am. she starts at 8am and then isn't released until 2:30pm in the afternoon. 6 1/2 hours w/o her... i told my friend yesterday that i even missed having to argue w/ her about time-outs.

on the upside of things, joseph and i have lots of fun together. for the last two years he only had alone time w/ me for the 2 hours per day that she was a preschool. so, he's totally loving all the attention. and of course i love having my little man to myself.
so, here is my little girl growing up a little more each day and me loving that she's having new adventures and crying b/c i won't have her to snuggle w/ as much.
