Pigeon Forge

I could probably post all our pics from our trip to TN but I won't and if you want to see more just look at the online album. we had such an AWESOME trip!!!! it was a beautiful drive up w/ my dad (aka Papa). the cabin was fun, the street shops were fun, and the rides were fun. w/ that said, we really did have the best time w/ my dad!!! I just loved having him here to sit back and chat w/, lean on while watching tv, and watching him be a grandpa.

now i'll let you all in on a secret, when we left pigeon forge to go home my dad left from there to go back to NY. we weren't even out of the parking lot and I was already in tears :-( then about 1/2 mile down the road james pulled over at a Christmas shop to get us a family ornament and while he was inside I had to call my mom (who at first was unsure of why I was calling while crying histerically). when I told her it was b/c I missed my dad b/c he had just left she told me it was going to be all right. *and it was but what can I say, i'm a daddy's girl and I loved having him here! we all did!!!! so, hope you enjoy looking at these, dad! thanks!!! we had the best time!

 the SKY FLYER
let me preface this ride by telling you that this was all Juliette's idea. sure I would love to have gone (even if it was by myself). but when Juliette saw this ride her first reaction was "can we go on that one?" we then look up to see what she's pointing at. james and I both reply "are you sure?" Juliette's answer "YES!!!!"

so, we're going up. and I mean UP! we get to the top and Juliette seems as cool as a cucumber, waving to james the entire time as our arms are interlocked. then the man signals us and right before I tell her i'm going to pull the cord she says "I didn't realize it was going to be this high." and then we...

GO!!!!!!!!!

as you can hear i'm screaming w/ excitement the whole time b/c I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! Juliette however, a little more reserved, didn't open her eyes or make a peep until 3 or 4 swings after we made our fall. the first thing she says is "my stomach feels so WEIRD!!!!" I tell her its okay and could see her eyes were closed but not as tight. i told her it was okay to open them and (of course what you don't see b/c the video wasn't that long) she did and proceeded to raise her arms up and really enjoy her first free fall on the sky flyer.

*you know what she tells me after we get unharnessed? can we go on "that" next year? you know what she pointed to???? the bungee jump! I had to let her know that she'd have to wait a few more years for that b/c she'd be going on her own then ;-)
