i have to start this post by first saying that i cannot believe that joseph potty trained himself this week. my little man turned 2 last thursday, one week ago to be exact, and you know what he told me the very next day, "mommy, i go potty!" so i took him thinking maybe he just wanted to sit on the toilet and be like his big sister, juliette. after sitting on the potty for 5 minutes i could tell he really needed to go and after another 15 min. he went!!!!!
the weekend came and i didn't bother asking him if he needed to go but each night after dinner time he told me again that he needed to go -- and of course he really went. well, i knew he was serious about going potty after this weekend so monday and tuesday i had him go on more of a set schedule and he's been wearing UNDIES (not panties which is what juliette is calling them, HAHA!) and staying dry since yesterday!!!!!
like i said, i cannot believe he just did this all on his own. i really hadn't thought about when i was going to potty train him at all; maybe over the summer b/c he just turned 2 and they say boys start later than girls. however, joseph definitely seems to be the exception to this rule.

Grandma and Grandpa are so PROUD of you! You are saving your parents a bundle of money by switching to "undies!" Good work!
Awesome!! Madsen's been very interested, and I need to start him before baby #3 comes! Waiting for warm weather so he can run around in his undies...he started calling them "panties", like Celia calls them... :)
heather, you must be doing something right! way to go joseph!!! i'm so jealous! Tes likes to sit on the potty but nothing ever comes out while she is sitting there.
wow!! That is so great...it gives me hope that Luke will do the same! Way to go buddy!
